BROKEN STRINGS is an exploration into community, war, healing, and connection through the arts. The structure has been created to build this innovative project as a dramatic six-part series, with community participation elements, multi-media, and other forms dependent on the resources available. Writer / Director, Catherine Dudley-Rose known for her award winning independent feature film, Parallel Chords, was selected as an artist in residence for the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. During the residency, she began working on BROKEN STRINGS.
Set primarily in St. Louis, Missouri BROKEN STRINGS highlights a variety of diverse, local artists and activists while acknowledging the struggles in our complex city.
Readings, promos, experiments, and development have occurred with the input from the community all along the way, and momentum continues to grow.
Creative partner, and trailblazer Allyson Mace of Bent Mind Productions is the producer.
