James Morrison will perform at Epsom Live!
James Morrison is to perform after a meeting at Epsom Downs Racecourse this summer. He will be the second artist to take to the Epsom Live! stage on Thursday, July 8, seven days after an appearance by Simply Red.
His debut album Undiscovered sold more than 2m copies, yielding no fewer than five singles – Broken Strings, You Make It Real, Wonderful World, The Letter, Undiscovered, One Last Chance and Nothing Ever Hurt Like You.
His second album, Songs for You, Truths For Me, has maintained the success story and is still in the charts a year after its release. The biggest-selling British male solo artist of 2006, Morrison won the best male category in the 2007 Brit Awards.
Rupert Trevelyan, managing director of Epsom Downs Racecourse said: “We are thrilled to have secured another high profile and popular act to perform at Epsom Live!”
“We will be making further announcements on the three remaining acts shortly.”
The Queen’s Stand and Duchess’s Stand will be open as one enclosure for Epsom Live, with the £33 ticket covering both the racing and concert.
A 10 per cent discount is available for tickets purchased in advance, with a 20 per cent discount for group bookings of 12 or more.
